NC Beach Trip

Here are some pictures from our vacation at Oak Island, NC. We had a blast!!

Baltimore Aquarium

Well Sarah and I are back in NC for the week and then Mike flys in on Friday night and we leave Saturday morning for the beach for a week. Yesterday we drove up to Baltimore and went to the aquarium which was very cool and we walked around the harbor there. It was so nice there. Sorry about some of the pictures I am not that good with the camera and Mike had the video camera and I was there even though there was not one picture of me from the whole day. I think there are some on the video but oh well.

Alexandria VA

Last night we went to Alexandria to have dinner. We hopped on the train and set off. Sarah is getting used to riding the train. We walked from the station down to the water which is about 15 blocks and stopped at Bugsby's for some pizza and salad. Then we went down to the water and walked around. Sarah was very timid around the balloon man but then he gave her a balloon and she was all smiles. We hope that everyone is doing good.

Natural Musuem of History

Hi everyone! On Wednesday we went to the Natural musuem of History in DC. We took the train in the city and enjoyed the musuem. Sarah enjoyed the mammal section better than she did the dinosaur section which I was suprised about I think it was because most of the dinosaurs were just the bones but we had a good time anyways. After the musuem we got back on the train and went to an area called Ballston and had dinner. All in all it was a good time.

Bounce House

Yesterday we met up with Mike after work and went to a bounce house in the area. Sarah had a blast. It was good because they also had a lot of toys that she has not played with in awhile since we have not been home.

Water Park

Sarah and I came back to VA on Saturday and then on Sunday we went to a water park in the area. Sarah absolutely loved it. She is such a water baby. She really loved going down the slide and playing in the fountain. The lazy river was fun for Mike and I too. We only did one big slide because the line was too long on the other ones but we had a blast just watching Sarah enjoy herself so much.

Riding the Horses

Today we went to my cousin Kenny's girlfriends house so Sarah could see her horses. Sarah was a little timid at first but then warmed up to them and was giving them kisses. Terry also had a little kitten that Sarah could not get enough of. She would chase the cat around and catch him and pick him up and carry him around. I have to say I have never seen a kitten that would let you do that to it.

Playing around with the camera

Tonight Sarah and I were playing around taking pictures and she was being a major goof ball. She is funny because she always wants to be sitting on my lap when I am taking pictures and that makes it kinda hard to do so that is why there are some self portraits in there. Well as you can tell towards the end of the pictures she went to turn and run away and fell and hit her the floor face first and bite her lip. Well she is fine especially after getting a popsicle.

Swimming

Yesterday we went over to Shannon and James and went swimming. Sarah had a good time playing in the pool with them. Her and Skylar had a blast in the boat.

Washington DC

This past Sunday we went back down to DC to do some more sight seeing and to visit the Air and Space Musuem. We had a really good time. I am going to attach a slideshow of the pictures this time so hopefully it works out better. The first pictures are from when we went to Alexandria one night for dinner and to walk along the water front.

Washington National Zoo

We went to the National Zoo in DC on Sunday and had a great time. It was very hot but we all survived. Sarah loved all the animals. She was a trooper through the whole zoo. She was awake the entire time and fell asleep as soon as we walked out of the zoo. She did not want to miss anything. We hope that everyone is having a good summer. Sarah and I are in VA with Mike for the week and we will be going back to NC next week.

Day at Metro Beach

Yesterday we went to Metro Beach with Kelly, Gavin, Reagan, Kathleen and Kaylin and had a really good time. The kids loved the sand and burying themselves in it. The water was nasty but we had a good time anyways. It was a nice day and Sarah was not happy when we had to leave but she feel asleep preey quick in the car.

Sarah loves the Trampoline

Sarah really enjoyed jumping on the trampoline at Tom and Becky's house the other day. She ran around that thing for a good while.

Sarah and Her Pets

Hanging out last night and look over and Sarah is laying on the ground beside Kodie so thank goodness my camera was right beside me so I was able to capture the moment. We also got Sarah some fish that our in her room and needless to say she absolutely loves them. You say "Sarah where are the fishy?" and she goes running to her room pointing and laughing. I think we might have finally got her tank figured out it only took a few fish as testers to figure it out, haha. Never had so many fish down the tank in such a short time before.

We went to Stoney Creek Park last Friday and I just couldn't resist taking this picture of Mike and Sarah. She so wanted to get into the water but we did not have bathing suits so maybe next time we go.

Enjoying Summer Finally

Well it is finally getting warm her in Michigan and Sarah is definitely enjoying being outside. Mike taught her how to drink out of the hose and she loved it.

My First Keyboard!!

Aunt Gwen and Uncle Brian bought Sarah her first keyboard, thanks guys!! She really is having a lot of fun with it and so is Mike, I woke up the other morning to the keyboard to come downstairs and it is Mike playing with it. Here is a video (sorry I don't know how to rotate it) and some pictures.

Easter

Well we had a good Easter even though it was cold!! Sarah had a fun day. Her eyes lit up when she was coming down the stairs and saw her Easter basket. Hope everyone else had a good day too! Now it is time to just pray for some warm weather.

Snow Day!

Well we finally got Sarah out to play in the snow yesterday, it was not that cold out so it was a good time to. She seemed to like it but she was not so sure about it when we layed her in it. She really liked to eat the snow balls. Mike went and got a bowl full of snow for her to play with and her and Kodie seemed to have dinner, they both could not get enough of it. With all the snow outside Kodie never eats it out there but put that bowl down and he went to town.

It's Official!!

Well we are excited to announce that Sarah is going to be a big sister. We are expecting our second child on Sept. 28th. Happy Valentine's Day to all!!
